WHY ARE LED BULBS SO POPULAR?
There are several reasons. Energy saving, very good luminosity, long life and their positive attitude to the environment.

Energy saving
Compared to conventional bulbs, the ETA LED bulb can save up to 90% of energy due to its low power consumption. In practice, you save up to several hundred crowns per year. Investment in LED technology will therefore return in a few months. They belong to the A+ category.

Very good luminosity
When we compare a classic 60W (12lm/W) bulb with its LED alternative, we find out that at 100% power the classic bulb the result at the LED bulb (84 l/W) is the same at 14%!. Not only you will pay less money for bulb operation thanks to lower consumption, but you will also have multiple times more light. LED bulbs, unlike conventional bulbs, emit almost no heat. The surface temperature is around 60 °C and all energy is used for light production.

Long life
The LED bulb lasts 25,000 - 30,000 hours which is approximately 15 years with an average daytime lighting of 5-6 hours. To give you an idea - a classic bulb lasts about 1,000 hours, a halogen bulb about 2,000 hours, and a compact bulb around 8,000 hours. As you can see, LED bulbs have a huge lead. They do not mind frequent switching on and off and they light with full intensity immediately after switching on. You can turn on the bulb up to 15,000x.

Positive attitude towards the environment
LED lamps are ecological and very nature-friendly, they do not contain mercury or lead and do not change the shade of their colours over time. They work well in extreme temperature conditions (-40 to + 60 °C).

WHAT TO FIND OUT BEFORE BUYING?
Before buying, it is important to find out the thread/base that matches your existing light bulb, the shape of the bulb and the required equivalent (alternative) to your existing light source.

Thread/base
An important factor for a correct choice of a LED bulb is the selection of the correct thread. The most widespread thread is undoubtedly the E27 and E14 but you can also see the GU10 base (most often found in spotlights in hallways or bathrooms).

Shape
Another factor is the shape of the bulb. You select it according to the type of the luminaire in which you want to use the bulb. LED bulbs have almost no shape limitations as it was in the early days of LED technology. Today, you can choose from all shapes of light sources, as we were used to in classic bulbs - that is, from the classic shapes of bulbs, candles, spot lights, but also tubes and even compact fluorescent lamps.
As for usage and light scattering, you may be interested in the angle of light that ranges from 180° to 360°.
